Configure Event Tracking

1. Overview

  • Definition: Event Tracking lets you define and monitor user engagement on your websites or mobile applications.

  • Users: Admin, Marketer.

2. Terminology & Configuration Parameters

  • Default Event — Base events automatically generated by Mobio, including Open app, Close app, Login, Logout.
  • Dynamic Event — Specific tracking events defined by Mobio users (e.g., clicking the Submit button on the homepage, or dwelling on a screen for 10 seconds).

6. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

  • Q: Can I change the Event Key for an existing event?
    • A: No. Events are locked from editing once created. You must delete the event and create a new one to generate a new key.
  • Q: Why can’t I activate or delete an event immediately after creation?
    • A: The system requires a few minutes to initialize new events. Wait a moment, then reload the page.
  • Q: Do I need to create separate events if my Android and iOS apps have identical tracking events?
    • A: No, you can configure both Android and iOS in a tracking event configuration.

7. Next Steps

Next, integrate Event Tracking into your website or mobile app.
