Manage Entities on Mobio

1. Overview

  • Entity — A centralized location for managing and defining the data structure of important Mobio entities, such as Profiles, Accounts, Tickets, Products, and more.
  • Benefits/Value: Entities allow you to personalize fields to fit your industry-specific attributes easily; centrally and consistently control how data displays across relevant modules.
  • Users: Admins, Data Management Specialists.

2. Terminology & Configuration Parameters

  • Entity — Core Mobio objects like Profiles, Accounts, Products, Opptys, Tickets, and Tasks.
  • Dynamic Fields — Additional attributes defined by Mobio users beyond Base Fields.
  • Field Group — A collection of related fields grouped for easier management and display.
  • Entity Configuration — Configure the display order of Field Groups and fields when viewing or editing an entity.

3. Prerequisites

  • Access Permissions: Your Mobio account must have the OBJECT RBAC permission. For instructions, see Configure RBAC Access Permissions here.
  • Access Path: Go to Settings → then select Entities → then choose the entity type you want to configure (e.g., Profile).

4. Implementation Process

To fully set up an Entity, follow these steps:

  • Step 1: Manage Fields and Field Groups: Define the data fields you need to collect and group them into Field Groups.
  • Step 2: Configure Entity: Arrange Field Groups to optimize the user interface.
  • Step 3: Set Up Specific Configurations (Optional): Implement specific settings for each entity type (e.g., advertising preferences for Profiles, Task types for Tasks).

  • Mobio supports a maximum number of Dynamic Fields based on your Mobio plan. For details, refer to Mobio pricing.
  • Note: Entities like Tags and Locations have their own management mechanisms and are not found in the Entities menu.

  • Q: Can I Delete Base Fields?
    • A: No. Mobio only allows you to edit or delete Dynamic Fields that you create.
