Configure and Sync Address Data
Map unstandardized address data from your sources to Mobio's standardized address format automatically.
1. Overview
- Definition: Automatically map unstandardized address data from various sources (e.g., Excel, Webhooks) to Mobio’s standardized address format.
- Value: Ensures consistent administrative data across Mobio, eliminates manual standardization, and improves accuracy for regional data analysis.

2. Terminology & Configuration Parameters
- Address Code — A unique identifier for each administrative unit (e.g., VNM#1# for Hanoi).
- Administrative divisions: Country, Province, District, Ward.
- User Value — The raw address variations from users’ sources (e.g., Hanoi, Hnoi, hanoi).
- Standard Address — The official address value on Mobio (e.g., Thành phố Hà Nội).
3. Prerequisites
- Permissions: Your Mobio account must have the
INTEGRATIONRBAC permission: Settings > Integration > Address. View RBAC access permission instructions here. - Access Path: Go to Settings → Data Integration → Data Sync → Address.
4. Step-by-Step Instructions
4.1. Map Addresses manually
Use this method to manually add a few individual mapping values.
- Click the Edit icon (pencil) next to the address you want to configure.
- In the panel that appears on the right, click + Add new.
- Enter the unstandardized address value (e.g., “Hnoi”).
- Click Save.
4.2. Bulk Map Addresses via Excel File
Use this method to configure a large number of addresses across multiple provinces at once.
- On the Address screen, click Sync Address (top right).
- Select “Template Address List” to download the template file.
- Open the file, locate the correct standard address row, and enter the unstandardized value in the User Value column.
- Return to Mobio, then drag and drop the completed file into the upload area, or click Choose file.
5. Operational Rules
- Excel file structure: Do not modify columns 1–6 (Address Code, Level, Country, Province, District, Ward). Mobio uses these columns to correctly identify records.
- Result notification: Mobio sends an email notification with the processing result (Succeeded / Failed) within a few minutes, depending on file size.
- Scope: Once configured, all data recorded from any source in the future is automatically standardized according to your mapping rules.
6. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Q: If I delete a mapping, will my existing data be affected?
- A: No. Mapping changes only apply to data recorded in Mobio from that point forward.
